Steel Door Frame with Transom for Commercial Applications
Transoms are door frames that include a transom bar with a glass or steel panel positioned above the door opening. The transom bar separates the main door opening from the upper transom section. Frame height can vary but typically extends to the ceiling. All sidelite frames come with glazing beads (glass stops) that install on the interior side of the frame to secure the glass or panel. Transom frames may also be configured with attached sidelites.
