A hollow metal borrowed lite is a frame with fixed glass that functions as a stationary window. Commonly used in interior applications, borrowed lite frames allow light to pass from one room to another while maintaining separation.

Description

Commercial Steel Window Frame – 4-Sided Hollow Metal Borrowed Lite

This four-sided frame is designed without a door opening and is prepared for field installation of glass. Borrowed lite frames can be configured for a single pane or multiple glass sections. They may be installed within a wall above the floor or positioned on the floor to extend up to the ceiling. All borrowed lite frames include glazing beads (glass stops), which mount on the interior side to securely hold the glass in place.

Fire-rated up to 45-Minutes with WHI / ITS mylar label applied (optional – in limited sizes). Fire-rated glazing must be used. Fire-rated assemblies must be in accordance with NFPA 80

Finish

Factory-Applied, Baked-On, Rust Inhibiting Primer (No Special Color Options) – Not intended to be a finish coat. It is recommended that finish paint (top coat) be applied after installation
